AZ150 Aluzinc Steel Strip Description

Aluzinc Steel Strip Description highlights narrow-width AZ coated steel designed for superior corrosion resistance in tubing and profiling applications. As a professional manufacturer and bulk supplier, we provide strips with AZ30โ€“AZ150 coating, precise slitting tolerance and thickness from 0.14โ€“2.0mm.

Compared with galvanized steel strip, aluzinc strip offers longer service life in coastal and high-humidity environments. Widely used by pipe makers, framing manufacturers and distributors, our Aluzinc steel strip helps reduce maintenance costs, improve processing efficiency and ensure stable long-term supply for industrial projects.

AZ150 Aluzinc Strip Applications

erw pipes

Coastal ERW Pipe Manufacturing

Aluzinc steel strip is widely used in electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe production for coastal and humid regions. The 55% Al-Zn coating provides longer corrosion resistance compared with traditional galvanized strip, making it suitable for water pipes, scaffolding tubes and structural piping near seaside environments.

Wind Band Vent Cap

Agricultural Greenhouse Structures

Due to its superior anti-rust performance, Aluzinc strip is applied in greenhouse frames and agricultural support systems exposed to moisture and chemical fertilizers.

Modular & Prefabricated Buildings

Light Steel Framing & Profiling

The precise slitting tolerance makes Aluzinc steel strip ideal for producing C-channels, tracks and lightweight structural profiles used in prefabricated buildings.

Solar Energy frame steel System

Solar Mounting & Outdoor Brackets

The aluminum-rich coating offers good heat reflectivity and durability, suitable for solar panel mounting systems and outdoor support brackets.

FAQ โ€“ Aluzinc Steel Strip

1. What is Aluzinc steel strip?

Aluzinc steel strip is a narrow steel product made from cold-rolled steel coated with an aluminum-zinc alloy through a hot-dip process. The coating typically contains 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon, providing excellent corrosion resistance and long service life.

2. What is Aluzinc steel strip used for?

Aluzinc steel strip is widely used in steel pipe and tube manufacturing, metal profiles and channels, cable trays and cable armoring, roofing accessories, door and window frames, electrical cabinets and enclosures, and industrial stamping and fabrication. It is commonly used in continuous forming and industrial production lines.

3. What is the difference between Aluzinc steel strip and Aluzinc steel coil?

Aluzinc Steel Coil refers to wide steel coil used for roofing sheets and panels, whereas Aluzinc Steel Strip refers to narrow width strip used for pipe production and metal parts. Aluzinc steel strip is typically produced by slitting Aluzinc steel coils into narrower widths.

4. What thickness is available for Aluzinc steel strip?

The typical thickness range includes 0.12 โ€“ 0.30 mm for light industrial components, 0.30 โ€“ 1.0 mm for pipe and tube production, 1.0 โ€“ 2.0 mm for structural components, and 2.0 โ€“ 3.0 mm for heavy-duty industrial parts. Thickness can be customized according to customer requirements.

5. What width is available for Aluzinc steel strip?

The typical width range is 20 mm โ€“ 600 mm. Common slitting widths include 32 mm, 50 mm, 76 mm, 100 mm, 125 mm, 150 mm, and 200 mm. Custom widths can be supplied depending on the production process.

6. What coating weights are available for Aluzinc steel strip?

Common coating weights include AZ30 for indoor use, AZ50 for general industrial use, AZ100 for standard outdoor use, and AZ150 for high corrosion resistance. AZ100 and AZ150 are commonly used for construction-related applications.

7. Why choose Aluzinc steel strip instead of galvanized steel strip?

Galvanized Steel Strip offers a lower cost, whereas Aluzinc Steel Strip provides better corrosion resistance and heat reflection. Aluzinc steel typically offers 2โ€“4 times longer corrosion resistance compared to galvanized steel in many environments.

8. What surface treatments are available for Aluzinc steel strip?

Common surface options include regular spangle, anti-fingerprint coating, chromated surface, oiled surface, and dry surface. Surface treatment can be selected based on processing and application requirements.

9. Can Aluzinc steel strip be used for pipe manufacturing?

Yes. Aluzinc steel strip is often used in the production of round steel pipes, square and rectangular tubes, structural tubing, and fence pipes. The strip is formed and welded using pipe-making machines.

10. What industries purchase Aluzinc steel strip in bulk?

Major buyers include steel pipe manufacturers, metal profile manufacturers, roofing accessory manufacturers, cable tray producers, electrical equipment manufacturers, and steel distributors and wholesalers. Bulk buyers usually purchase large volumes for continuous production.

11. What standards apply to Aluzinc steel strip?

Common international standards include ASTM A792 / A792M, EN 10346, JIS G3321, and GB/T 14978. These standards define coating weight, mechanical properties, and tolerances.

12. What coil weight is typical for Aluzinc steel strip?

Typical coil weights include 3 โ€“ 5 metric tons for standard industrial processing and 5 โ€“ 8 metric tons for large manufacturing lines. Coil weight can be customized depending on handling equipment and production requirements.

13. How is Aluzinc steel strip packaged for export?

Standard export packaging includes waterproof paper protection, plastic film covering, steel outer sheet protection, steel strapping, and wooden pallets or skids. This prevents moisture damage and mechanical damage during transportation.

14. Can Aluzinc steel strip be further processed?

Yes. Aluzinc steel strip can be processed through roll forming, stamping, bending, welding, slitting, and profiling. It is widely used in automated manufacturing processes.

15. How to choose a reliable Aluzinc steel strip supplier?

Key factors include stable aluminum-zinc coating quality, accurate slitting width tolerance, smooth strip edges, consistent coil weight, strong production capacity, and reliable bulk supply. Many industrial buyers prefer direct steel manufacturers with export experience.
